WL: "NO"

KH: "Ready and Waiting, Mr Martin sir!"

AF: "Uh, Mr Martin? I do not understand this...what does this costume have to do with Eastern times? Why is it so...revealing? And why is it based on rabbits?"

All will be told in due time, my little Aria. All you have to do is go out there and give those Easter-celebrating people a show! It's that simple.

WL: "WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?! What moron would wear this with pride?!"

KH: "I like it! Bunny outfits are some of my most favourite things to wear off-duty. They're just so...tight and revealing. They're so...me! And Lowell likes them too!"

WL: "...Girl you got some SERIOUS problems you need'ta sort out!"

KH: "It's DeviantART, who exactly is going to notice?"

AF: "...Everyone?"

Exactly. Come on, War. It'll be fun! Might make you MORE popular than ever! You know what they say, a little leg goes a long way.

AF: "M-Mr Martin, sir, can I be e-excused from t-this? I'm shaking with f-f-fear! Why are we even doing this?!"

Look, Aria, I'm really sorry. But you were the only other female I had that'd agree to do this! Azima refused to show up and I don't really have any other females to use!

WL: "What, apart from all the other Lilacs you made?"

Well yes, but...

WL: "And Amelia? And Nevski? And Lavina? And Naruki? Does anyone even REMEMBER those girls?!"

...Okay, females who are actually being USED, in use.  Well, too late to change it now. Sounds like the people outside are whipping up a frenzy. You girls better get out there, pronto!

KH: "Come on, girls! Let's give these guys a night they'll never forget!"

AF: "No, please! This is a religious holiday, is it not?!"

WL: "Not anymore...ah crap, here we go!"

*FWOOSH - OPEN CURTAINS*

KH: "Ladies, Gentlemen! Ready for a show?"

"WOOOO LOOK AT THEM!"

"Shake those bunny rears, girls!"

"Wait, Katherine?! What the hell is my wife doing on stage?!"

AF: "M-Miss Katherine! I really do not want to do this! Th-these outfits are too tight!"

WL: "PERRY MARTIN YOU ARE A DISGUSTING CREATURE WITH SERIOUS ISSUES I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU WHEN WHEN WE'RE DONE WITH THIS!"

This was supposed to be shaded, right? Uh...April Fools?

Seriouisly, what are the chances one of my personal favourite holidays lands on the same day as my least favourite? April Fools Day is such a miserable time to be alive, with pranks going through the roof in terms of severity and lunacy, and it only feels like it gets worse every year. Still, I've got better things to do with my time than endlessly complain about how awful APD is, and just get on with this Easter thing I like a lot more.

SO...this deserves some explanation. So, I was scouring the DA database for images of Lucina from Fire Emblem. I can't remember why, I just was. Of course this being DA I eventually ran into art of a, shall we say, dubious nature. And I ran across one that was very intruiging to me...

...Again, it's DeviantART. You can't escape from the general sterotype so why bother? I thought this was all based off of something that Nintendo had done to promote the franchise - after all, Nintendo is a Japanese publisher and they ultimately do stuff like this all the time. Playboy Bayonetta and Sonic Hooters being the two that spring to mind. Amusingly, there IS a bunny-related promotion for FE, but it came two years later. Some Spring promotion for that cashgrab disguised as an RPG, Fire Emblem Heroes, had a number of characters dressed in rabbit-esque clothing. Being a smartphone game they were of course hidden behind lootboxes purchasable only by premium currency, because even Nintendo wants your money with as little effort as possible. 

But anyway, I saw the first bit and decided, "Eh, I draw a bunny girl every Easter, because I'm a waste of space, why not use this as a framing device?" And yes, I did genuinely have issues finding someone to be the third part of the ensemble. As I alluded to, I have a lot of female characters that just vanished with the reboot, if at this point you can even call it that. Naruki, Nevski, Lavina, Leona, Becky and many more besides. They just...don't exist anymore. Ironically, Nevski actually HAD a job in-universe as a bunny girl - it's a complicated string of events, but basically she was designed to be a deconstruction of Sonic characters with large breasts, constantly having back problems and at one point having her spine snap entirely.

I guess as I got older and my hormones took over, the novelty wore off and characters started getting more, shall we say, provocative. Even Katherine developed a dirty side to her, basically to give her some personality beyond "Lowell's Girlfriend then Wife". I guess Nevski therefore had no reason to exist anymore, not when Katherine donned a rubber suit and gas mask when the situation called for it. I'm not exactly proud of any of that, uh, development, but it's the truth. No-one is 100% pure, even if they act like they are. It's...a good lesson to learn, especially on this site.
