Description

Told you I'd get round to the others eventually. Bloody hell, it shouldn't have taken as long as it did...

Anyway, I've been over this before. Basically, I had an idea and I'm drawing it before I forget. Here you go. From left to right...

ESPIO: Yes. Espio. I THINK it's the first time I drew Espio so far...and hopefully the last. Anyway, Espio retains his ninja powers, but he himself is rather different. Rather than acting as the Straight Man of the Chaotix, he is the Master of a dojo in the Casino Zone, where Dictator Sparky puts the good little boys and girls who accept his rule. Espio is a citizen there, as can be found by the red circle under his eye. Espio helps train anyone who has enough willpower (and money) to go through with his decidedly strict training, hiding his brutality under "The way of the Warrior". He is one of Dictator Sparky's Tellers (meaning he finds any peons intruding from the other zones and reports them to Sparky's PMC. They take it from there). Sonic "joins" the dojo to get Espio out of the picture, and he must never know Sonic is part of Los Salvadores.

MIGHTY: 'Cause to the underworld with it, EVERYONE wants this guy back. Basically, to fit into the Ex-Chaotix theme, Mighty is a hobo. Espio found him in one of the slums of Casino Zone, shouting and slurring complete gibberish. Espio decided to take pity on the man and let him stay in the dojo while he gets his mental state together again. That...as you can plainly see, hasn't happened yet. I decided to make him look older because I heard that traumatic events can cause you to age badly (trauma makes you grow huge beards in a week according to most media) and he generally sits in the corner of the Dojo, yelling frankly rediculous concepts, but with a few hints thrown in every now and again.

EGGMAN: Of course, seeing as Dictator Sparky is the main ruler and antagonist of Sonic REboot, Eggman's role would be...lesser. He's still a villan and he still hates that Hedgehog, it's just that in the long run he works for DS and Ascenscion, like a sort of dragon for the dragon. Or the Co-Dragon, depending on what TVtropes page you read. Yeah, as you can see Eggman came a cropper in one of his schemes (all those exploding machines cannot be good for you) and all he has been reduced to is a brain in a jar...mounted on a robot-contruct Metal built for him. He speaks in beeps and whiirs, meaning Dictator Sparky uses it to announce anty plans to Los Salvadores as they cannot understand what he's saying. Whenever Metal is around (who speaks perfect English here), he translates for him. Oh yes, and his orange foot thing? It's a brick. Someone stole his foot so Metal taped a common brick to it. Just thought it'd be funny and add to his "built-from-scrap-metal" apperance.

TIKAL/ASCENCSION: Dictator Sparky's right hand woman, Ascenscion carries out any orders and relays them back to DS if something has gone wrong. Tikal in this universe is less spiritual towards the Chaos Emeralds (which are somewhat less know in this universe, to the point everyone brushes it off as a crazy legend) and more towards time-keeping. Infact, she is also Dictator Sparky's prophet, using her mystical powers (and her glass ball) to predict the future of every and all battles for him, whenever he'd lose or win. However, he "predictions" are pure guesswork, as Dictator Sparky has the strongest and most well equipped PMC in his kingdom (well, he DOES rule it), so he'd win regardless of the prophecy. She does have some use, though, as she can conjure up clock-shaped projectiles that slow down anyone hit and open portals to other areas for a better vantage point, so she is good for setteling riots. She wears a bodysuit, her usual skirt, a different headband and, oddly, no muzzle-covering scarf or bandanna, despite the fact most of Dictator Sparky's assisstants do. Indeed, Ascension is untrustworthy of Dictator Sparky and finds some of his tactics imoral, but she knows she can't just desert, so she attempts to reason with his insane ideas and try to dampen them down. She often succeeds.

METAL: Metal looks no better than his Master. As with Eggman, he is made from bits and bobs and while he looks much stronger and fearsome, his metal is a tad more brittle than his SEGA counterpart. Notably, he looks more like the Werehog than he does Sonic. This is because Dictator Sparky did not factor Sonic as a problem and nor did Eggman, so instead he was based on "The Prophecy", a specteral figure that resembles the Werehog in tattoes and a lioncloth, that DS is trying to awaken so he can gain ultimate powers and rule whatever is outside his kingdom. Metal is importent to the storyline, as he is the first thing that kickstarts Sonic's memories of his past life, which helps him remember life before the genericication (yep, never trying to make new words again) of his world. Metal often works as the dragon to the dragon to the dragon, working alongside Ascenscion in quelling riots. He and Eggman are actually inhabitants of the Mainframe, a largely off limits plane of existance that is said to link the four zones together (the Desert Zone, the Jungle Zone, the Casino Zone and the Forgotten Zone). Their Alliance Mark is the tear-like streaks running down their right cheeks.

ELISE: Ooh, look everyone! It's the princess that kissed Sonic the Hedgehog and recieved tons of hate mail saying she raped him until his arse fell off (never did understand the over-reaction). Oh well, here's another use for her now. She's now a tomboy wolf in funny clothes and is also a mechanic instead of a princess. Oh, and she's the leader of Los Salvadores, the resistence group designed to bring down Dictator Sparky and rule the land in peace in his fragmented place. And who do you think is the Chosen One for the group? Of course, Sonic. They first meet when Shadow and Silver save Sonic from Sparky's mercenaries at the beginning of the story and he is given a choice with them; either live as normal and possibly die, or join them and serve a good chance at getting through a single week. Of course, he chose the latter. Elise and Sonic get on pretty well, even is Elise remembers her past and is incredibly bitter about bringing it up. However, she is far more useful in a fight oweing the fact she has managed to control the Flames of Iblis inside of her. Now not only can she cry without destroying the world in the process, she can also manipulate her powers to send dragons of fire straight through her enemies, leaving a trail of destruction in her wake.

...There. I did Elise more justice in one paragraph than Sonic Team did in months of game development (I'm talking Generations, by the way. Not a mention).

SALLY: And finally, the true marmite character of the Sonic Series, Sally Abagail Acorn. Well, I'm guessing that's her name, it could be Sa77Y MK II for all the flip-fuck I know. Anyway, she's still a leader of the Freedom Fighters here and she's still going strong, but there's a problem. The Freedom Fighters are a JOKE. Because they have to live and work in primitive conditions most of the time, they are hopeless indefeating DS's robots, which are stronger than SWATbots on account they can survive being pushed over. She used to retain her post-Bullshit-Moment (can't remember the comic number) and that, combined with the low success rate, made her incredibly unpopular with most of the tribes. Desperate, she turned to Sparky for assisstance, and Sparky just decided to send her anti-depressants to shut her up. Unfortuently, he made them too strong and not only did she become chemically addicted to them, they also drove her insane. She is now paranoid, jumpy, fearful and schizophrenic, hearing at least three voices in her head (hey, still an improvement). The only thing left for her is Tails, who she cares for like her own son and that gives her the confidence to act tough before her people, but reverts to "normal" when alone.

And there we go. I've still got some more design kicking around, too:

:bulletblue: Sonia
:bulletblue: Manic
:bulletblue: Nack
:bulletblue: Charmy
:bulletblue: Werehog
:bulletblue: and Sonic.exe (long story short, he symbolizes everything Sonic was forced to leave behind. He's more a ghost than a demon, so I should probably name him something different, but I guess people DO want him to be official...)

And what is Forgotten Zone? Well...this'll serve as an audio clue: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SR6_J1...

Enjoy.
